Theodor Fontane waxed lyrical about the “Medallion of the Havel Chain”, while Albert Einstein felt as if he was in paradise here. Lake Schwielowsee, with Lake Templiner See adjacent to it, situated to the south-west of Potsdam, have provided landscape painters with the perfect backdrop since time immemorial.
This easy bicycle tour runs along the banks of the lakes, offering superb beautiful views and insights into the natural surroundings. The route passes several bathing spots, picnic areas and other sights worth stopping at.
