Potsdam is an island nestled in the picturesque waterscape of the Havel, and the lakes Tiefer See, Jungfernsee and Templiner See. Aboard a Potsdam Water Taxi the city's "island location" becomes evident, making the exploration from the water quite appealing and a "must-do". The boats are outfitted for carrying 60 people and 20 bicycles per taxi. The jetties allow passengers to reach the numerous sights conveniently - from Sanssouci Park via Babelsberg Palace to Cecilienhof Country House.

13 landing stages are part of the network of routes that the water taxis head to and depart from, connecting the two sides of the Havel:
Park Glienicke - Krughorn – at Krughorn
Sacrow - Heilandskirche - at Fährstraße
Cecilienhof - Meierei - Belvedere – next to restaurant Meierei
Glienicker Brücke – next to Glienicke Bridge at Potsdam´s end
Schloss und Park Babelsberg – between lido and Kleines Schloss at Babelsberg Park
Schiffbauergasse - Hans Otto Theater – landing stage next to restaurant ship “John Barnett” at Hans Otto Theater
Potsdam Hauptbahnhof/Hafen (main station/harbour) – opposite the landing stages for passenger vessels
Neustädter Havelbucht - Sanssouci – next to landing stages Havelbucht at Altenheim (old-age home)
Potsdam West Persiusspeicher – behind Hotel am Hafelufer
Inselhotel Potsdam - Hermannswerder – behind Inselhotel
Kongresshotel am Templiner See – behind Kongresshotel
Seminaris SeeHotel - Pirschheide - behind Seminaris SeeHotel
Strandbad Templin/Forsthaus Templin - at the water skiing facilities
