Swimming, bathing, rowing boats and hiking along the riverside. Lake Caputher See is idyllically situated in the forest and is a real gem, providing a habitat for numerous animal and plant species. On a walk around Lake Caputher See far from the hustle and bustle of the big city, you will find peace, relaxation and a unique landscape.
Lake Caputher See is part of the Lienewitz Lakes district. It is south of the River Havel and is bordered to the west and north by the village of Caputh. An easy to hike pathway runs around the lake, from which there is a view of the water, with the exception of a short leg through the unspoilt forest. The riverside is unspoilt and there are bathing areas here an there with benches to sit on. Two thirds of Lake Caputher See are part of the nature conservation area and is home to silver carp and bighead carp.
Skaters love doing pirouettes on the ice in winter.
