On a raft around the Potsdam isle

Round tour of the “Havelland” nature paradise and the World Heritage Site Potsdam

Distance / time: 45 km (2 days)
Start / finish: “Schiffbauergasse”, Potsdam

Side trips:
Round tour across Berlin’s southwest: from Lake Jungfernsee upstream the Havel River to Lake Wannsee; continue to Wannsee’s chain of lakes and via Lake Griebnitzsee back to Potsdam.
From here, continue to Brandenburg (Havel).

Nautical information:

• No locks to pass, slow flow speed, allowing for boating the tour in both directions. Potsdam’s Havel with numerous lakes such as Lake Templinsee, Lake Schwielowsee etc., many mooring spots, no commercial boating.
• Sacrow Paretz Canal: straight canalized route with moderate commercial boating.
