Charming and varied canoe tour along the Wublitz river, which is closed to motor boats. Enjoy the pristine landscape with its reed-fringed river banks and the Havel quiet section between Werder (Havel) and Paretz. Extension: If you would like to extend this tour, you can make a detour to Ketzin/Havel after Paretz and before Phöben. In the fishing village of Ketzin/Havel you can dock in the waterway rest area in the lido. There visitors can pitch their tents or spend the night in a tepee. Tip: Historic small town, winding alleyways in the fishing quarter, riverside promenade. Please pay attention to the car ferry across the River Havel. This route can also be shortened. Go to Marquardt by canoe and then continue from there by train.

Length:
26 kilometres

Start/Finish (canoe put-ins):
Werder (Havel) - Wublitz - Marquardt - Paretz - Phöben - Töplitz - Werder (Havel)

Route:
The tour starts in Werder (Havel) at the waterway rest area next to the island. The tour takes your north across Lake Großer Zernsee and to the Wublitz river (tip: an Old Town on a Havel island with winding alleyways and many cafés and restaurants). Please pay attention to the waterski route slightly to the right of the middle of Lake Großer Zernsee. You then continue over the Wublitz and the Sacrow-Paretzer Canal. The small and romantic Seenkette lakes take your through swamps and wild countryside to Lake  Schlänitzsee. From here you continue left through the Sacrow-Paretzer Canal and back to the Havel. Please note: Commercial shipping on the Sacrow-Paretzer Canal. Marquardt is a good place to stop off. Entry and exit on the waterfront. In Marquardt you can visit the Palace Park designed by Peter Josef Lenné. There is also a restaurant. Alternatively: People on one-way tours can return from here by train to Werder (Havel) via Potsdam. Otherwise, continue to Paretz (boarding and disembarking at the Havel Canal waterway rest area). Here, you can visit Park Paretz and the palace, once the summer residence of Friedrich-Wilhelm III and Queen Luise. The boat rental business in Phöben has a mooring facility (and there is a restaurant). Then you continue to Töplitz (where there is a mooring facility in the marina behind the motorway bridge), and Töplitz also has several restaurants. From here you return to Werder (Havel).
