Business hours

The Geltow handweavery is the largest in Germany and, founded in the year 1927, is undoubtedly one of the oldest handweaving mills. It is perhaps even the oldest family-run Master craft business in this sector. Today the weavers still work on 200 to 300-year old looms. Nimble hands warp and weft chains, moving shuttles and pedals, creating beautiful natural woven fabric from the individual natural fibre threads. Fabrics are woven according to traditional patterns and are worked into towels, table linen and home accessories. Garments for discerning customers are also made to measure. The new collection will be presented at two fashion shows in May, which are very popular. All the attractive items, as well as HB ceramics and Lauchhammer art cast products can also be bought from the small shop adjoining the weaving workshop. Visitors can learn interesting facts about this old craft from experts in a museum.
Fabric by the metre, blankets and tablecloths, toys etc. can all be ordered in the online shop, as well as made-to-measure products.

Leinenladen
The ‘linen shop’ sells products made of linen, cotton, wool and silk, which have been produced in-house and can also be made-to-measure. The shop also sells products from other German craftsmen and women, accessories and also household textiles.
